Together, we are facing a truly unprecedented circumstance. As you are most likely aware, Gov. Charlie Baker has ordered all nonessential businesses in Massachusetts closed by Tuesday afternoon in an effort to help slow the spread of the virus. We will be following our Governor’s orders.
A couple weeks ago, we moved everyone that can work remotely off-site allowing many of our functions to stay open to service our customers’ needs and be ready for the upcoming season. This left our highly skilled Technicians being the only ones on site following CDC and WHO protocols to keep everyone safe. (You won’t believe how much work our guys can get done when everyone isn’t bothering them!) March has been a very productive month getting ready for launching season.
Starting this afternoon, we have sent our Technicians home with full pay to be with their families. We will have a small rotation on site to assure our yard and our customers’ boats are secure. We ask that you call ahead to schedule an appointment should you feel the need to visit on site.
Our plan is to reopen for the season on April 7th per Gov. Baker’s recent announcement. We will continue to monitor all updates as the situation evolves and keep you informed as information arises. In the meantime, if you need anything, our team is available and at your disposal. Our Digital Door is OPEN! If you have concerns about your boat, questions about a new or previously owned boat, want to order up services just in time for the season, or would just like to say hello and let us know how you’re doing, reach out to our team. We would like to keep the lines of communication open as much as possible.
On behalf of all our team, we cannot begin to thank you enough for your unwavering support through the years and continuing into the future. We are confident that we will weather this storm together, and we look forward to opening the marina soon to welcome you back where we can fully enjoy our return to the water among family, friends, and neighbors.
If you should need anything, please feel free to reach us directly at 508?990?1011 or email us as you normally would. Also, please be sure to follow us on Instagram and Facebook for updates on openings and operations. We post daily to keep you connected with the community we all love, and we urge you to do the same by sharing your boating memories with us @capeyachts and/or @southwharf.
Thank you again for all of your support over the years. We look forward to seeing our extended boating family once the spread has subsided and wish you and your family the best during this difficult time.
To our good health,
Dave Nolan, President
Cape Yachts / South Wharf
