Rigging Shop: Jay Christopher Jay Christopher is a marine industry veteran with more than 20 years experience as a professional racer and marine rigger. Jay holds a degree in boat building and yacht design in addition to having 3 America's Cup campaigns under his belt including the 1992, 1995 and 1997 campaigns as well as 2000 for Prada. After retiring from professional racing, Jay continued his career with Bill Koch's organization as manager of Koch's Nautica Marina in Osterville, MA for three years. Prior to joining South Wharf as head of our Rigging Department, Jay performed Warranty Customer Service for a large motor yacht dealership in Osterville on Cape Cod. Jay carries numerous marine certifications including HAZMAT, OSHA and storm water training.
